| They call it The Monster and rightly so. Aim to the left of this ample fairway because shots to the right will be swallowed by the lake running the entire length of the hole. Even the best and longest players lay up with their second shot. The approach to the green has a hundred yard carry over water to the large green, surrounded by trouble -- water in front, out-of-bounds over the back and sides. Put a couple extra balls in your pocket at the tee to save time on this long par 5, which is a good score for the hole. |

| Aim left of center on the fairway because bordering houses get very close to the course on the right. Out-of-bounds runs the length of this hole on both sides. The second shot can be deceiving, for the distance looks shorter than it is. Take one less club for the downhill approach to the green, though being too conservative will leave your shot short, requiring a tough up-hill chip. |

| This dogleg right can be had if played correctly. A fairway wood or long iron to the middle of the fairway will give you a short iron to this hazard-laden green. The water keeps players honest on the right side, but a steep slope away from the green on the left makes hitting this green in regulation imperative. Remember: putts usually break toward the water. |

| Scores here can range from a 3 to one shot short of infinity! You must make a decision off the tee to either hit out to the big tree in the middle of the fairway, or cut the corner. An adventurous shot that clears to the left of the trees can leave a player with a mid-to-long iron into a large green. Bunkers on the front right and left side of the green keep players honest. |

| A welcome breather following No. 8, you might consider leaving your driver in the bag on this shortish hole. A long iron or fairway wood will put you in perfect shape to knock it close with a short iron. Take one less club on your approach, but don't be short. The large bunker protecting the front of the green could easily add a couple strokes to your score. |

| Three accurate shots are required to reach this dogleg right hole. A big drive will occasionally leave you with a temptingly loooong second shot to the elevated green. The safe play is an iron to the bottom of the hill. The lake in front of the green and out-of-bounds to the right makes even the biggest hitters think twice before going for the green in two. |

| You can see the entire length of this left-bending par four from the tee. Out-of-bounds runs the hole's length on both sides and the key is knocking the ball close to the pin on the second shot. The green is three to four clubs deep, so make sure you choose wisely when hitting your approach. Many players have been heard cussing to themselves as they leave this steep green. |

| With out-of-bounds right, a creek left, and water short, an accurate tee shot is a must on this true par four. Hitting the fairway will be the least of your worries, though. The second shot ÿ up a large hill to a two-tiered green ÿ is very intimidating. Players have disappeared without a trace after hitting into the bunker on the right. Make note of the flag color from the tee so you know on which level the pin resides. Par is a good score here. |
