We Have Activities For All Member Age Groups
Club activities of a varied nature for all age groups are an important part of the concept at Forest Oaks. Activity plans include the traditional serious golf tournaments, such as the Club Championship for both men and women; handicap tournaments for the casual and not-so-serious player, as well as competitions for the avid low handicapper. Forest Oaks also provides less serious golf activities, such as scotch foursomes and flag tournaments, for both the casual and serious golfer. Other interests  of the membership that are also considered include frequent activities of a diverse nature like dances, informal parties, poolside buffets, informal family nights, foreign food nights and other events planned for the enjoyment of the members.

Forest Oaks is home to the Chrysler Classic of Greenboro, one of the most well-respected and oldest events on the PGA TOUR schedule and contested every fall.
The golf course is open 7 days a week and the hours of operation change depending on the time of year. Tee times are highly recommended during the week and are essential for weekends and holidays. Starting times may be made 3 days in advance by calling the pro shop. Carts are not required except on weekends and holidays prior to 1:00 p. m. All players must check in at the pro shop prior to play.

Guest fees vary but generally are $55. 00 on weekdays, weekends and holidays when accompanied by a member. A special $110. 00 guest pass can be purchased for house guests for a one week period.
When the golf course is closed, reciprocal arrangements have been arranged with the finest golf courses and country clubs in the area.
The professional staff organizes and conducts a busy schedule of member competitions throughout the golfing season. Following is a sample of the competition's 2005 yearly calendar:

 In addition, the Forest Oaks Men’s Golf Association (FOMGA) , the Forest Oaks Ladies Golf Association (FOLGA) and the 9 Holers Club each conduct busy schedules of competitive and social events. All organizations welcome new members.
A Pro-Quality Tennis Program, Too.
Forest Oaks has eight tennis courts (six of them lighted, clay courts) built to tournament specifications and maintained to tournament standards. Under the supervision of two certified tennis professionals, Mike and Michael Corthum, Forest Oaks offers an excellent year round tennis program. The program highlights tennis instruction, tournaments and tennis events for adults and juniors alike. The tennis pro shop carries all up-to-date tennis equipment and apparel. The tennis facility is closed during the PGA Tour’s C.C.G. tournament. Arrangements will be made at other facilities for play.
